August 2022 update: The Conscious Cat is now under the ownership of Pangolia
The Conscious Cat is now being run by Pangolia, a pet-focused digital media company that seeks to improve the lives of pets and their humans.
The Conscious Cat was originally founded in 2009 by Ingrid King, an award-winning author, former veterinary hospital manager and veterinary journalist who is passionate about cats. Ingrid named the site in honor of her cat Amber, who, like all of Ingrid’s cat since, taught her to live more consciously and purposefully. She grew The Conscious Cat into a thriving community and a valuable resource for cat lovers all over the world. She has made an impressive impact on the world of cats and cat parents. We are grateful for all she has done for our feline friends.
Ingrid has handed The Conscious Cat over into the care of Pangolia. Our team will do our best to continue building the purr-fect site and facilitating the best community in the world for cats and their owners.
